Matthew is an Olivier nominated, international composer, music producer, arranger and conductor for theatre, film, tv and pop.
As Musical Supervisor and Arranger / Orchestrator his theatre credits include: Just for One Day (Shaftesbury Theatre, Olivier Nominated); Starlight Express (Wembley Troubadour); Come Alive: The Greatest Showman Spectacular (Earl’s Court Empress Theatre); The Little Big Things (Soho Place); What’s New Pussycat (Birmingham Rep); Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Savoy Theatre and UK Tour) Additional Orchestrations.
As Musical Supervisor / Conductor: Notre Dame De Paris (Lincoln Center, Broadway/ENO Orchestra at the London Coliseum) & Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Playhouse Theatre).
Matthew has conducted and arranged for the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the English National Opera, The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, The Slovak National Symphony Orchestra, the Welsh Pops Orchestra and numerous session orchestras in London, Los Angeles and New York.
His film credits include: Paddington 2 where he was Music Producer and Arranger for Phoenix Buchanan’s big number.
As music producer; Just for One Day (Cast Album), Starlight Express(2024 Cast Album), The Little Big Things (Cast Album), John Barrowman’s albums Centre Stage, You Raise Me Up and A Fabulous Christmas.
Matthew has been arranger/conductor for three UK number 1 singles and three UK number 1 albums.
Matthew has been orchestrator / arranger / conductor for numerous TV shows including: America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent, AGT Champions, BGT Champions, X Factor and Musical Director and arranger for The Voice.
Matthew and his colleagues won a BAFTA for Luke Evans Showtime for best entertainment show (for which he was Musical Director, Arranger and Orchestrator)
Matthew lives in South Wales with his wife Laura, two sons and two cockapoos and is very proud to have worked on the Paddington movie and most recently, the amazing Paddington musical.
