Matthew Brind
Matthew is an international Composer, Arranger and Conductor. His work spans Theatre, Film, Radio, Television, Pop and Concerts. He has worked with various orchestras including, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, Slovak National Symphony Orchestra, Welsh Pops Orchestra and various session orchestras in London, Los Angeles and New York.
Matthew has been Musical Supervisor/Musical Director on various West End and Touring Musicals and his orchestrations have played worldwide. Matthew is arranger for the hit TV shows: X factor UK, Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent and was Musical Director/Arranger for the BBC’s primetime entertainment show Tonight’s the Night. His arrangements have also been heard on the Royal Variety Show, Last Night of the Proms, National Lottery Awards, Strictly Come Dancing and Any Dream Will Do.
Matthew has conducted and arranged for numerous Big Bands including the BBC Big Band, X Factor Big Band, Britain’s Got Talent Big Band and America’s Got Talent Big Band. He works with Gospel Choirs in London, New York and LA on various projects. Matthew has been Arranger and Conductor for three UK number 1 hit singles, and three UK number 1 albums. Matthew is Musical Director for John Barrowman and is Arranger for platinum-selling music producer, Graham Stack. Matthew wrote the arrangements for the Sony Bravia 4k Television Advert, with DJ/ Artist KYGO.
Matthew has been involved in the movie Paddington 2 as arranger and music producer. Matthew has also composed numerous musicals, most notably, Only the Brave, which ran at the Wales Millennium Centre in 2016 and Mr Stink, original book by David Walliams.
Most recently Matthew was Conductor and Music Director for Notre Dame de Paris the New York City Ballet Orchestra for the shows premier in 2022 on Broadway at the incredible David H. Koch Theatre at the Lincoln Centre. He also worked on the New Musical ‘The Little Big Things’ as Musical Supervisor, Orchestrator and Arranger at the Soho Place and is currently Musical Supervisor/Orchestrator on the Band Aid Musical ‘Just for One Day’ at the Old Vic.
